About Us

Project InSpirit was founded by a Newport High School student from Bellevue, WA, who created a nonprofit organization to elevate the art community in the northern suburbs of Seattle and Lynnwood to inspire young students to help find the healing beauty of art.

Our mission is to inspire and uplift low-income, first-generation students, primarily from Hispanic, Hawaiian, Indigenous, and immigrant communities, by fostering creativity and self-expression through art. We aim to elevate the community, instill hope, and provide a supportive space for artistic growth and healing. We offer free art classes after school through annual summer camps, community bus shelter mural projects, cancer center art therapy, and compression pad sewing initiatives. Additionally, we donate artwork to patient wings, with all proceeds going to support the cancer center (Overlake & Fred Hutch in WA).Through our volunteering initiatives, we maintain a strong connection and stay "in spirit" with those who have faced adversity, ensuring that art, support, and solace are accessible to all.
